The 10 Canadian-facing casinos we have verified, compared for deposits

Every row below comes from a full MrMega review of that brand. The Trust Index is our published six-pillar score out of 100, set from public data before any commercial relationship. The deposit columns show what each operator actually publishes, and here is the finding that shapes this whole page: only a minority of our ten verified brands publish a minimum deposit at all. Where a figure is not published anywhere, the cell says Not published, because a blank beats an invented number.

We also split a distinction other lists blur: the minimum to deposit and the minimum to qualify for the welcome bonus are different numbers. At RoyalistPlay they are C$10 and C$30. Reading one as the other is how a “cheap” signup turns into a bonus you accidentally activated or missed. And because we do not deposit or wager real money, every figure here comes from published terms, not from a deposit we claim to have made.

Table note: Trust Index figures are from our published en-CA reviews, linked in the table. “Aggregator reported” means the casino does not publish the figure and we sourced it from public listings, flagged as such in the underlying review. Six of the ten brands publish no minimum deposit at all, and we print that fact rather than paper over it.

The top five for small deposits, and why they rank where they do

1. TonyBet, Trust Index 85: regulated first, whatever your budget

TonyBet is the one brand here registered with iGaming Ontario and the AGCO, verifiable on the iGO operator list, with a Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence for the rest of Canada. It does not publish a minimum deposit, and we will not guess one, but for a small-budget player the structural point outranks the number: a low-deposit account at a regulated casino has a regulator behind every dollar, which no offshore brand on this page offers. Canadian rails include e-Transfer, iDebit and Instadebit, with e-wallets alongside; the Ontario cashier carries a narrower menu than the rest-of-Canada site. Trustpilot sat at 1.3 out of 5 from 50 reviews at our check, withdrawal delays the leading theme, and we publish that number next to the ranking. Full review: TonyBet.

2. FestivalPlay, Trust Index 65: checkable paperwork, unpublished minimum

FestivalPlay publishes no minimum deposit, but everything around the deposit checks out better than any offshore rival here: operated by NewEra B.V., Curacao company 157707, on Curacao Gaming Control Board licence OGL/2024/181/0181, a number you can verify. CAD is supported with e-Transfer, iDebit and Instadebit in the cashier, and cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin are listed. A weekly withdrawal cap applies, which matters even to small-stakes players the day a small deposit turns into a large balance. Full review: FestivalPlay.

3. RoyalistPlay, Trust Index 61: the only fully published minimum in our set

RoyalistPlay is the one casino here that publishes the whole deposit picture: C$10 minimum deposit, C$30 to trigger the bonus, e-Transfer and card deposits usually instant, about 24 hours of withdrawal review, a cap of about C$5,000 per day and an 8% fee on multiple withdrawals in a rolling 30 days. Terms you can read beat promises you cannot, and that transparency is exactly what this page rewards. Two cautions from the same published terms: the bonus carries 40x wagering, and e-Transfer deposits must be wagered before an e-Transfer-funded withdrawal. The operator is Next Global Era Limited, Belize company 000030447, on Anjouan licence ALSI-102310002-FI5. Not registered with iGaming Ontario. Full review: RoyalistPlay.

4. DirectionBet, Trust Index 61: published figures, same owner as RoyalistPlay

DirectionBet publishes a minimum deposit of around C$20 and a bonus qualifying deposit of around C$30, with 40x wagering on bonus plus deposit. It runs on the very same Anjouan licence as RoyalistPlay, ALSI-102310002-FI5, held by the same Next Global Era Limited, so treat the pair as one relationship rather than two budget options. It launched in mid-2024 and has a thin public record. Not registered with iGaming Ontario. Full review: DirectionBet.

5. BetAlright, Trust Index 58: named operator, advertised low minimum, unconfirmed figure

BetAlright names its operator, NovaForge Ltd, in the footer, which earns partial credit in a segment where anonymity is normal. It advertises a low CAD minimum for the welcome offer but publishes no confirmed figure, so our table says unconfirmed rather than inventing one. Its terms carry two traps a small depositor should know: 35x to 40x wagering with only some game types contributing fully, and a rule that funding with certain e-wallets voids the welcome offer entirely. Not registered with iGaming Ontario. Full review: BetAlright.

Typical minimum deposits by payment method

These are industry-typical ranges compiled in July 2026 from published deposit guides. They are market norms, not measurements of any casino on this page; the operator’s own cashier always has the final word.

MethodTypical minimum at Canada-facing casinosNotes
e-TransferC$10 to C$20The mainstream Canadian rail; the casino’s own minimum usually decides, not the rail
Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)C$10 to C$20Universal; watch for card fees at offshore brands
E-wallets (MuchBetter, Payz, Skrill)Around C$10Fast both ways where supported
CryptoOften under C$10Offshore only, never at an iGaming Ontario brand; value swings add their own risk
Bank transferHighest minimumsBuilt for large, slow movements, not small deposits

One honest note about the “C$1 casino” pages this query attracts: genuine C$1 offers exist in the market, but even the sites promoting them concede they are rare, tied to specific promotions and wagered at rates that can reach 100x. None of our ten verified brands publishes a C$1 minimum, so you will not find one attached to a brand name here.

The small-deposit bonus math nobody prints

A minimum deposit page is really a bonus page in disguise, because the reason casinos welcome tiny deposits is that the attached bonus usually wins the money back. Here is the arithmetic, using a modelled example and labelled as such.

Take a C$10 deposit with a 100% match at 40x wagering on bonus plus deposit, the structure RoyalistPlay and DirectionBet publish. You now hold C$20 of restricted money and owe 40 times that, C$800 in wagers, before anything can leave. At a modelled house edge of about 4%, our standard modelling assumption, not a measured figure, the expected cost of placing C$800 in bets is about C$32. That is three times the bonus you were given. The maths does not care how small the deposit was: the multiplier is the product, and the product is priced against you.

The conclusion we would want as players: if you are depositing small to limit risk, decline the bonus. Every brand in our set that publishes an opt-out confirms the bonus is optional, and a clean C$10 or C$20 deposit with no wagering attached is the only version of “low risk” that survives contact with the terms. If you do take a bonus, know both numbers before paying: the minimum to deposit and the minimum to qualify, because a C$10 deposit at RoyalistPlay simply does not activate the C$30 offer.

The thing other Canadian low deposit lists will not tell you: who actually runs these casinos

Most lists present ten brands as ten independent budget choices. Our corpus shows otherwise.

Four of the ten sit on the NovaForge footprint. BetAlright names NovaForge Ltd openly, a network our review work sizes at roughly 80 casinos. Glorion (full review: Glorion), WestAce and Casea run on the same platform footprint without naming an operator, and WestAce and Casea even share the same affiliate domain, lynmonkel.com. Glorion publishes an Anjouan licence number, ALSI-152406028-FI2, that we could not verify on the register, a reminder that a printed licence line is a claim until a register confirms it.

Two more, RoyalistPlay and DirectionBet, share one licence number, ALSI-102310002-FI5, held by one Belize company, Next Global Era Limited. Same company, same deposit rules desk, same payout queue.

That leaves three genuinely independent positions: TonyBet (regulated in Ontario, Kahnawake elsewhere, operated by TonyBet OU, the platform founded in 2011), FestivalPlay (NewEra B.V. on a checkable Curacao GCB licence) and Alexander (Samaki Ltd on an Anjouan licence we verified on the register, though France’s ANJ has ordered it blocked and its EUR base currency means even a small CAD deposit eats conversion both ways).

Why this matters for small deposits specifically: spreading C$10 across five sister brands is not diversification, it is the same operator holding your money five times, with five KYC files to clear the day you want it back.

Depositing small without tripping the traps

Four habits keep a small bankroll actually small-risk.

Upload your documents at signup. Identity checks apply before payout at every brand in our corpus, and a KYC review triggered at withdrawal time can add days. The C$10 player waits in the same queue as the C$5,000 player.

Match your deposit method to your exit. RoyalistPlay’s published terms require e-Transfer deposits to be wagered before an e-Transfer-funded withdrawal, and method-matching rules are common across the offshore tier. Deposit with the rail you want to be paid on.

Check the bonus exclusions before paying. At BetAlright, funding with certain e-wallets voids the welcome offer entirely. If you want the bonus, check your method qualifies; if you do not want it, opt out explicitly rather than assuming a small deposit slips under it.

Know the withdrawal floor. Casinos also set minimum withdrawal amounts, and at some brands a small balance can sit below the floor. The figures are in each brand’s cashier terms; our reviews flag them where published, and where they are not published we say so.

Brands we caution on, and exactly why

We do not run an invented blacklist. Each caution is a specific, checkable finding from our review corpus.

Casea, Trust Index 47. Its reported minimum, around the equivalent of C$10, is aggregator-sourced, and everything structural around it is missing: no recognised gambling licence disclosed anywhere, no resolvable operator, no Trustpilot profile at all. A cheap way in is not a bargain when nobody stands behind the way out. Review: Casea.

WestAce, Trust Index 53. No operating company disclosed, an Anjouan claim unverifiable from any primary source, no published deposit or withdrawal figures, and Trustpilot at 2.0 out of 5 from 26 reviews with withdrawal delays leading the themes at 44% of mentions. Review: WestAce.

LegendPlay, Trust Index 57. The operator is named, Rabidi N.V., but France’s gambling regulator, the ANJ, has had LegendPlay on its official blocked-sites list since 18 July 2025, no minimum deposit is published, and Trustpilot showed 1.9 out of 5 from 25 reviews with withdrawal delays at 46% of complaint mentions. Review: LegendPlay.

Alexander, Trust Index 56. A mixed file: its Anjouan licence ALSI-142406012-FI1 is one of only two offshore licences here we verified on the actual register, but no minimum deposit is published, the site appears on the ANJ blocked list, and its EUR base currency means a small CAD deposit is converted on the way in and the way out, a proportionally heavier cost the smaller the amount. Review: Alexander.

None of this is an accusation of wrongdoing. It is what the public record shows, and fails to show, as of our July 2026 checks.

How we verify minimum deposit casinos for Canada

We rate from public data and the operator’s own terms, and we do not deposit or wager real money. That sentence is the whole method, and it is why our table carries Not published cells where other lists carry tidy dollar figures.

What we actually do, for every brand on this page: we read the published cashier and bonus terms and record the deposit minimum and the bonus qualifying minimum only where the operator states them. We check operator names against the site’s own footer and terms. We check licence claims against the primary register, the Anjouan register, the Curacao GCB record, or the iGaming Ontario operator list, and we say plainly when a claim could not be verified. We check every brand and its named sisters against France’s ANJ official blocked-sites file, 4,748 entries at our 17 July 2026 check. We capture the live sites ourselves, and we log public complaint themes from Trustpilot with sample sizes attached.

What we never do: attach a deposit tier to a brand without a published source, present an aggregator listing as an operator fact, or claim to have tested deposits with money we never risked. The scoring protocol is on our How We Rate page.

Minimum deposit casino Canada FAQ

What is the lowest deposit casino in Canada?

Among our ten verified brands, the lowest published figure is C$10, at RoyalistPlay, with Casea reported around the same level by aggregators. Pages promising C$1 casinos are describing rare, promotion-tied offers with heavy wagering; no brand in our verified set publishes a C$1 minimum.

Can I get a casino bonus with a C$10 deposit?

Usually not, and this is the distinction most lists skip. The bonus qualifying deposit is often higher than the deposit minimum: C$30 versus C$10 at RoyalistPlay, and around C$30 versus around C$20 at DirectionBet. Check both numbers before you pay.

Are low deposit bonuses worth taking?

Run the math first. A C$10 deposit with a 100% match at 40x wagering creates about C$800 of required bets, with a modelled expected cost of roughly C$32 at a typical house edge, three times the bonus. For most small-budget players, declining the bonus is the cheaper choice.

What is the best deposit method for small amounts?

e-Transfer is the mainstream Canadian rail, with typical casino minimums of C$10 to C$20 by industry norms. E-wallets run around C$10 and crypto often lower at offshore brands. The casino’s own minimum usually decides, not the method.

Do minimum deposit casinos have minimum withdrawals too?

Yes, and it is the trap of the category: a small balance can sit below the withdrawal floor. Read the cashier terms for the withdrawal minimum before depositing, especially at brands that publish little else.

Is a C$10 deposit safer at a regulated casino?

Structurally, yes. At an iGaming Ontario registered brand, TonyBet is the only one on this page, your deposit sits inside a framework with a regulator and a dispute process. At every other brand here, protection is whatever the operator chooses to offer.

Why do some casinos not publish a minimum deposit?

Because nothing forces them to, and quiet terms leave room to move. Six of our ten verified brands publish no figure. We treat disclosure itself as a ranking signal: an operator that publishes its numbers, as RoyalistPlay does, is giving you something checkable, and that is worth more than a low number nobody stands behind.

Responsible gambling for Canadian players

A small deposit is a good instinct; keep it small on purpose. You must be 19+ to gamble in most provinces, and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Gambling can be addictive. Please play responsibly.

Only an iGaming Ontario registered site is required to carry Ontario’s mandated responsible-gambling framework; at every offshore brand on this page the limit tools are operator-run, so set deposit, session and loss limits yourself at signup and do not assume anyone audits them. A deposit limit set on day one is the cheapest protection a low-budget player can buy.
