Authors

MrMega is written by two people. Simon Copperstone funds the sessions and writes the reviews. Ernest Bowes fact-checks every licence number, operator entity, Trustpilot citation, and regulatory reference before anything goes up. Two pairs of eyes, one process. No template writers, no outsourced content, no reviews written by someone who has never deposited a pound.

Simon Copperstone

Writer. Casino and sportsbook reviews.

I have been funding casino and sportsbook test sessions with my own money since 2024. Before MrMega, I spent a decade betting on football and racing the way most UK punters do: Saturday accumulator, loose grasp of the maths, occasional chase of a losing weekend. Now I do it systematically. £200 session bankroll, UK-licensed operators only, every deposit and withdrawal measured, every bet logged.

I write the way I talk. Honest about the wins, honest about the losses, and never pretending I know something I have not tested. My stake limit is £200 per session. My rule is never to recommend a bookmaker or casino I have not funded with my own money. I cover the UK market only.

Ernest Bowes

Fact-checker. UKGC register verification and regulatory compliance.

Ernest Bowes verifies the factual claims in every MrMega article. He cross-checks UK Gambling Commission licence numbers against the public register, confirms operator entities and parent companies, date-stamps Trustpilot citations, and ensures regulatory references are current. With a background in compliance verification, Ernest treats every page as a document that will be read by someone who needs to trust it before they deposit.

If a licence number, operator entity, or regulatory reference appears in a MrMega article, Ernest has checked it. If a Trustpilot score is cited, Ernest has confirmed it against the live page on the day of publication. If a helpline number appears, Ernest has verified it.

How we work together

Conor funds a session, keeps a notebook, and writes the review from the notebook. The review goes to Ernest, who checks every factual claim against primary sources: the UKGC register, the operator’s live site, Trustpilot on the day of verification. If a claim does not check out, it does not go up. If a licence number has changed, the review is updated. If a Trustpilot score has moved significantly since the session, the citation is refreshed.

No third editor. No outsourced fact-checking. Two people, one process, and both names on every page.
