The 10 Canadian-facing casinos we have verified, compared for live casino

Every row below comes from a full MrMega review of that brand. The Trust Index is our published six-pillar score out of 100, set from public data before any commercial relationship. The live columns show what each operator itself publishes about its live lobby. Where a claim comes only from public aggregator listings, the cell says so, and where nothing is published, the cell says Not published, because a blank beats an invented number.

Two columns you will not see: tested table counts and minimum bets. The pages that publish those numbers claim hands-on testing at ten casinos simultaneously, and one page in this SERP even wears a news masthead while doing it, with no methodology in sight. We do not deposit or wager real money, and lobbies change without notice, so we verify the structure instead: who runs each casino, which regulator stands behind it, and which named studios the operator itself claims.

Table note: Trust Index figures are from our published en-CA reviews, linked in the table. “Aggregator reported” means the casino does not publish the claim and we sourced it from public listings, flagged as such in the underlying review. We publish no table count or bet limit we have measured ourselves, because we have measured none.

The top five for live casino, and why they rank where they do

1. TonyBet, Trust Index 85: the only regulated live floor on this page

TonyBet is the one brand here registered with iGaming Ontario and the AGCO, verifiable on the iGO operator list, with a Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence for the rest of Canada. It also publishes the deepest named studio roster in our set: hundreds of live tables led by Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live, with Ezugi and Playtech alongside, streaming roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and game shows in HD. For an Ontario player that combination is unique on this page: the widest published live floor and a regulator to escalate to if a session or a payout goes wrong. Note the Ontario platform approves titles separately, so the table list differs between Ontario and the rest of Canada.

The other side: TonyBet’s Trustpilot profile sat at 1.3 out of 5 from 50 reviews at our check, with withdrawal delays the leading complaint theme. We publish both numbers. Full review: TonyBet.

2. FestivalPlay, Trust Index 65: Evolution tables with real paperwork

FestivalPlay pairs an Evolution-led live casino, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and game shows streamed around the clock, with the cleanest offshore paperwork in our set: operated by NewEra B.V., Curacao company 157707, on Curacao Gaming Control Board licence OGL/2024/181/0181, a number you can check. CAD is supported with e-Transfer, iDebit and Instadebit in the cashier. If you want Evolution’s studio without Ontario registration, this is the most checkable route here. Full review: FestivalPlay.

3. RoyalistPlay, Trust Index 61: a published live floor and readable terms

RoyalistPlay publishes about 100 live tables from Evolution and Ezugi, one of only two brands in our offshore set that itemises its live floor at all. It is also the most transparent on the terms that decide whether a live win reaches you: a withdrawal review window of about 24 hours, a cap of about C$5,000 per day, and an 8% fee on multiple withdrawals in a rolling 30 days, all published. The operator is Next Global Era Limited, Belize company 000030447, on Anjouan licence ALSI-102310002-FI5. Not registered with iGaming Ontario. Full review: RoyalistPlay.

4. DirectionBet, Trust Index 61: same operator, nothing published about live

DirectionBet runs on the very same Anjouan licence, ALSI-102310002-FI5, held by the same Next Global Era Limited, so treat the pair as one relationship. Its overall library is large at roughly 4,000 titles from around 60 studios, but the operator publishes nothing specific about a live lobby, so our live cells read Not published rather than borrowed from its sister. It launched in mid-2024 with a thin public record. Not registered with iGaming Ontario. Full review: DirectionBet.

5. BetAlright, Trust Index 58: named operator, Evolution tables, unverifiable licence

BetAlright names its operator, NovaForge Ltd, in the footer and publishes an Evolution-led live casino covering roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows. The permit is the weak point: Anjouan is claimed with no licence number published, so it cannot be checked against the register. Trustpilot showed 2.1 out of 5 from 22 reviews at our check, with withdrawal delays the leading theme. Not registered with iGaming Ontario. Full review: BetAlright.

Live game types and the math behind them

These are game-math figures for standard rules, not measurements of any casino on this page. A live table and a software table with the same rules return the same number; the stream changes the experience, not the odds.

GameGame-math return, standard rulesWhat to know
Live blackjackAbout 99% to 99.5% with correct basic strategyThe rules sheet matters more than the studio; check the payout line for 3:2
Live baccaratBanker bet about 98.9%The simplest high-return live bet; ignore tie bets
Live rouletteEuropean wheel 97.3%; double-zero wheel 94.7%One extra pocket costs 2.6 points; pick the wheel, not the presenter
Live game showsTypically about 95% to 96%Entertainment formats; bonus rounds are volatile and the base return is below the classic tables
Live poker variantsVaries by formatHouse-banked variants carry a built-in edge; read the paytable per variant

The honest reading: if return is your priority, live blackjack on a 3:2 table and banker-bet baccarat lead, roulette depends entirely on the wheel, and game shows are priced as entertainment. Nothing about the casino brand changes any of these numbers.

The studios behind every lobby, and why table counts mislead

Casinos do not make live games. A handful of studios do, and brands rent shelf space. That is why we treat “500 tables” marketing as noise: the tables are the studio’s, the count changes weekly, and two casinos renting the same studio are selling you the same product with different logos.

Across our ten verified brands the concentration is stark. Evolution appears in the published lobbies of TonyBet, FestivalPlay, RoyalistPlay and BetAlright, and in the aggregator-reported lobby of WestAce. Pragmatic Play Live appears at TonyBet and in Casea’s reported lobby. Ezugi backs TonyBet and RoyalistPlay. Playtech appears at TonyBet and in Casea’s reported roster.

And one detail we found nowhere else in this SERP: Casea’s reported live lobby, Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech, Stakelogic Live and OnAir Entertainment, has no Evolution at all. “Hundreds of live tables” and “has the table you actually want” are different claims. If a specific Evolution game show or blackjack table is the reason you are depositing, open the lobby and find it before the cashier, not after.

The practical rule this section earns: choose the studio first, then the operator with the best verified structure that carries it. For Evolution with regulation, that is TonyBet in Ontario. For Evolution offshore with a checkable licence, FestivalPlay.

The thing other Canadian live casino lists will not tell you: who actually runs these casinos

Most lists present ten brands as ten independent live floors. Our corpus shows otherwise.

Four of the ten sit on the NovaForge footprint. BetAlright names NovaForge Ltd openly, a network our review work sizes at roughly 80 casinos. Glorion (full review: Glorion), WestAce and Casea run on the same platform footprint without naming an operator, and WestAce and Casea even share the same affiliate domain, lynmonkel.com. Glorion publishes an Anjouan licence number, ALSI-152406028-FI2, that we could not verify on the register: a printed licence line is a claim until a register confirms it.

Two more, RoyalistPlay and DirectionBet, share one licence number, ALSI-102310002-FI5, held by one Belize company, Next Global Era Limited. Same company, same live-supply contracts, same payout queue.

That leaves three genuinely independent positions: TonyBet (regulated in Ontario, Kahnawake elsewhere, operated by TonyBet OU, the platform founded in 2011), FestivalPlay (NewEra B.V. on a checkable Curacao GCB licence) and Alexander (Samaki Ltd on an Anjouan licence we verified on the register, though France’s ANJ has ordered it blocked and its base currency is EUR).

Why this matters for live play: a live floor is only as good as the entity that pays out what you win on it. When ten brands reduce to five or six entities, the real comparison is operators, and that is the comparison our table runs.

The live-game wagering trap

If you take a welcome bonus and head straight for the live tables, read the contribution table first, because the published terms in our corpus are blunt about it. At Casea, live casino games typically count only a fraction of each wager toward the 35x deposit-plus-bonus requirement, with a separate 40x line on free-spin winnings and a 10-day window. TonyBet’s terms state slots usually contribute fully while table games barely count, and FestivalPlay’s carry the same split.

The arithmetic is unforgiving. At 35x to 40x wagering, RoyalistPlay and DirectionBet publish 40x and BetAlright 35x to 40x, a live-first player whose bets count at a sliver of face value can face weeks of grinding before a single dollar unlocks, and a max-bet rule usually applies while any bonus is active. The honest play for live-first players is the one the bonus flow buries: decline the bonus, deposit clean money, and keep the right to withdraw after any session. Every brand in our set that publishes an opt-out confirms the bonus is optional.

Brands we caution on, and exactly why

We do not run an invented blacklist. Each caution is a specific, checkable finding from our review corpus.

Casea, Trust Index 47. No recognised gambling licence is disclosed anywhere on the site and we could not resolve who runs it, so we treat it as effectively unlicensed for player protection. Its large live lobby is aggregator-reported rather than operator-published, its reported roster carries no Evolution, and it has no Trustpilot profile at all, so there is no public complaint record to weigh. Review: Casea.

WestAce, Trust Index 53. No operating company is disclosed, the Anjouan claim is unverifiable from any primary source, and its Evolution-led live lobby is aggregator-reported. Trustpilot showed 2.0 out of 5 from 26 reviews, 77% one star, with withdrawal delays leading the themes at 44% of mentions. Review: WestAce.

LegendPlay, Trust Index 57. The operator is named, Rabidi N.V., but France’s gambling regulator, the ANJ, has had LegendPlay on its official blocked-sites list since 18 July 2025. The live casino is published only as a full lobby with no studios named, and Trustpilot showed 1.9 out of 5 from 25 reviews with withdrawal delays at 46% of complaint mentions. Review: LegendPlay.

Alexander, Trust Index 56. A mixed file: the Anjouan licence ALSI-142406012-FI1 is one of only two offshore licences here we verified on the actual register, and a full live suite is published. But the site appears on the ANJ blocked list, names no live studios, and runs EUR as its base currency, so every live session settles through conversion. Review: Alexander.

None of this is an accusation of wrongdoing. It is what the public record shows, and fails to show, as of our July 2026 checks.

How we verify the best live casino sites for Canada

We rate from public data and the operator’s own terms, and we do not deposit or wager real money. That is the whole method, and it is why you will not find a tested table count or a timed dealer session anywhere on this page.

What we actually do, for every brand: we read the operator’s own games and terms pages and record which live studios and game types it claims itself. We separate those operator claims from aggregator listings and label the difference cell by cell. We check operator names against the site’s footer and terms, and licence claims against the primary register, the Anjouan register, the Curacao GCB record, or the iGaming Ontario operator list, saying plainly when a claim could not be verified. We check every brand and its named sisters against France’s ANJ official blocked-sites file, 4,748 entries at our 17 July 2026 check. We capture the live sites ourselves, so the screenshots in our reviews are our own. And we log public complaint themes from Trustpilot with sample sizes attached.

What we never do: claim to have played tables we have not funded, publish a min bet as a fixed fact, or rank a brand higher for paying us more. The scoring protocol is on our How We Rate page.

Best live casino Canada FAQ

What is the best live casino in Canada?

On verifiable structure, TonyBet leads: the only iGaming Ontario registered brand on this page, with the deepest published studio roster, Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Ezugi and Playtech. Offshore, FestivalPlay pairs Evolution tables with a licence number you can actually check on the Curacao GCB record.

Are live dealer games fair?

The major studios, Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live among them, are certified and audited under the licences of the markets they serve, and a live table’s return is set by its rules, about 99% to 99.5% for blackjack with basic strategy, 98.9% for banker-bet baccarat. The fairness question that actually varies by casino is whether winnings get paid, which is why our ranking runs on licence and operator verification.

Can I play live casino legally in Canada?

In Ontario, yes, at casinos registered with iGaming Ontario; TonyBet is the only such brand here. Elsewhere, players commonly use offshore sites, which sit in a legal grey area with no provincial protection, the trade-off our Trust Index scores.

Which live casino games pay best?

By game-math for standard rules: blackjack with correct basic strategy at about 99% to 99.5%, then banker-bet baccarat at about 98.9%, then European roulette at 97.3%. Game shows typically run about 95% to 96%. These are rule constants, not casino properties.

Do live casino games count toward bonus wagering?

Usually barely. Casea’s published terms say live games count only a fraction of each wager, and TonyBet’s and FestivalPlay’s terms state table games barely count while slots contribute fully. Live-first players are generally better off declining the bonus.

Do all these casinos have Evolution tables?

No, and this is worth checking before you deposit. Evolution appears in the published lobbies of TonyBet, FestivalPlay, RoyalistPlay and BetAlright, and is aggregator-reported at WestAce. Casea’s reported lobby runs Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech, Stakelogic Live and OnAir, with no Evolution at all.

What internet speed do I need for live casino?

Any stable modern connection handles an HD table stream; the streams adapt quality automatically. The practical advice is to avoid betting over a connection that keeps dropping, because a disconnection mid-hand is settled by the casino’s published disconnection policy, another term worth reading before you play rather than after.

Responsible gambling for Canadian players

Live tables run around the clock, and a human dealer can make a session feel social in a way a slot never does. Set your limits before the stream starts. You must be 19+ to gamble in most provinces, and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Gambling can be addictive. Please play responsibly.

Only an iGaming Ontario registered site is required to carry Ontario’s mandated responsible-gambling framework; at every offshore brand on this page the limit tools are operator-run, so set deposit, session and loss limits yourself at signup and do not assume anyone audits them.
